Jui Ishida was born in Taiwan and raised in Japan. She studied art at the Art Canter College of Design in Pasadena, CA and graduated with honor of distinction in illustration. She has illustrated many children's books including: Somewhere So Sleepy by Diane Muldrow, Sail Away, Little Boat by Janet Buell and God Created by Mark Francisco Bozzuti-Jones (Theologos Award/ best children's book of 2003). Jui currently lives in Long Beach, CA, with her husband and two children.
